students. The program includes examination and measurement of anthropometric, motor, functional, cognitive and conative characteristics of the candidate. In the educational part of the camp, we will introduce candidates to the basics of entrepreneurship and how to position themselves in their environment as an individual. Upon implementation of the program, within 30 days, the applicant receives a brochure with their results, special reports and recommendations of experts in the fields of medicine, kinesiology, psychology and nutrition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The goals of the program are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Motivating children to engage in physical activity\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Gaining insight into which elements the child is best \/ worst so that the right approach of the family, teachers and coaches can direct the child&#8217;s activities and work to strengthen the individual&#8217;s personality, because it is known that recreation and sports can affect character development, involve all children in recreation and sports , regardless of the talent for the same, to grow in a healthier environment, raise awareness of the importance of proper nutrition and develop into healthier, happier and more motivated individuals research and comparison of results with results in other European countries<\/p>\n<p>Psychological testing:<\/p>\n<p>The results of the research show that physical activity in childhood is related not only to proper physical growth and development and development of motor skills, but also has positive effects on cognitive development and psychological development tasks such as feelings of belonging, self-criticism and perseverance.<\/p>\n<p>Medical examination:<\/p>\n<p>The examination includes anthropometric measurements of the child such as height, weight, limb length, shoulder and pelvic width, chest and abdomen circumference, upper arm folds, back, chest and the like, followed by blood pressure measurement, dynamometry (measurement of muscle strength and power) ) and ECG.<\/p>\n<p>Kinesiological testing:<\/p>\n<p>The results of this test should help achieve two goals. The first goal is to include the child in sports in general, in order to meet the primary biological needs for movement and preserve the health of the organism. The second goal is to help decide which sport to direct the child to. For this purpose, a suitable questionnaire and an appropriate battery of tests were created, which integrates various tests of anthropometric characteristics and biomotor and functional abilities. By interpreting the obtained results, we will try to help in this important decision by proposing a list of sports that would be compatible with the characteristics of the child in order to achieve optimal results and long-term retention of the child in sports.<\/p>\n<p>Nutrition testing:<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, there has been increasing talk of eating disorders such as obesity and malnutrition, which unfortunately occur as early as childhood. Childhood obesity has become a problem of epidemic proportions in recent decades. Based on the continuous monitoring of the nutritional status and quality of nutrition of the population, the Croatian Institute of Public Health is even more concerned about the fact that in the last 30 years the incidence of obesity in school-age children has tripled. More and more scientific research has been conducted on the pediatric population that shows a clear link between childhood obesity and risk factors for the development of cardiovascular and other chronic diseases in adulthood. What is extremely important to note is the fact that overweight children are more likely to become overweight adults. The other side of the same problem is childhood malnutrition, which very often during adolescence can result in severe eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia or nervousness.<\/p>\n<p>Nutritional testing will analyze the eating habits, quality of nutrition of children and families and will determine the nutritional needs of children based on which we will conceptualize nutritional recommendations and guide and educate parents and children about the possible need for change.
