As soon as you arrive in Croatia, you feel the country’s rich history. You find yourself among the ancient ruins, buildings and castles. In Rijeka you can climb the 550 steps to Trsat Castle. And you can visit the best preserved Roman palace in the world in Split. Zadar & Dubrovnik are famous for their beautiful, historic city centres. The old centre of Dubrovnik is even one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Want a bit of action? Croatia will not disappoint on that front either. If you want, you could do something different every day of your holiday. It’s a great place for wind and kite surfing, sailing and diving. Or even rafting on one of the many rivers. When you’ve had enough of the water, you can hire a bike or put on your hiking boots. The many mountains offer plenty of sporting challenges for all levels. In Istria, you will find well-maintained cycle paths, whereas adventurous mountain bikers are better off going to Dalmatia.
